Shroff Green Durbar, 25 gram traditional roll, happily seems to be restored to either its original formulation or very close to it, although the sticks are perhaps thicker than the ones we received some decades ago and the label is now updated. We noticed the color of the sticks that came in recently were back to that soft, rather grainy green color like the old ones rather than the brighter green from the interim years (for a time was called Darbar-A, no longer 100 incense sticks, but the roll looks the same generous size with thicker sticks that put out more scent than before but was not as fine as the old scent). The Green Durbar of old (pictured) is the original, earthy, mossy favorite with no peer, soft and tranquil, a masala incense. Shroff Channabasappa & Sons, Bangalore, India.
